When we intentionally assign a physical mark to the people or moments in our lives that have shaped who we are, something happens in the atmosphere. We are then able to continually recall and revisit the moment when that legacy was set into motion, and those who come after you will be able to see it too.
An emotionally charged event leaves an engraved memory in our minds. When you take that emotional event and attach a physical mark to it—specifically in the Holy Land—you have given that memory life. Whether it is a lost loved one or the event of a lifetime, a legacy is planted forever in spiritually rich, significant soil.
Your memories can be physically rooted in the same soil you’ve read about in your Bible for years. The Holy Land isn’t just a spiritual place; it is a physical place where Jesus Himself walked and will walk again.
And it will be fully restored.
Here’s What We Know…
Throughout the Bible, God reminds us of the restoration that will take place in Israel. As Believers, we are called to be an active part of that restoration.
‘Behold, the days are coming,’ says the Lord,
‘when the plowman shall overtake the reaper,
and the treader of grapes him who sows seed;
the mountains shall drip with sweet wine,
and all the hills shall flow with it.
I will bring back the captives of My people Israel;
they shall build the waste cities and inhabit them;
they shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them;
they shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them.
I will plant them in their land,
and no longer shall they be pulled up
from the land I have given them,’
says the Lord your God.”
—Amos 9:13-15
The abovementioned prophecy in Amos speaks of reaping from the fertile land of Israel in abundance—so much, in fact, that crops will be plentiful to the point at which keeping up with the harvest could be seen as a joyous hardship.
As a Believer who comes from the seed of Abraham…
“And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”—Galatians 3:29
… you can be intentional about your legacy. In fact, we are called to be intentional and act as good stewards of our time, money, and resources. Therefore, when we leave a legacy, we should strive to honor God in every way we can.
We have a desire to be remembered and to remember and honor others because God calls us to remember Him in all things.
- “… whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”—1 Corinthians 10:31
To Be Intentional with Your Legacy, Keep All of This in Mind…
- God gave us an innate desire to remember so that we can see His promises fulfilled.
- God is leaving a legacy in the land of Israel and wants us to be a part of it.
- We can honor and commemorate people and times in our past in such a way that benefits a nation and propels the legacy we want to leave for the future.
So, ask yourself…
- Is God calling you into a time to be intentional with your legacy?
- Is God stirring your heart for the people of Israel?
- Is God calling you to honor loved ones and create a legacy surrounding His promise?
As a Believer, you have been charged to remember and sow seeds into others’ lives. The same seeds of hope, biblical principles, and virtues that God planted in your life. Every day God gives you countless opportunities to sow seeds from your time, talent, and resources into His Kingdom and into the lives of others.
At a Crossroads with Your Legacy…
You can continue to search for ways to honor your loved ones and mark impactful events in your life. Truth is important to you.
Legacy is important to you.
Because, after all, if you don’t pass on truth to those who come after you, who will?

If you are a follower of Jesus, there is a calling to take action driven by God’s Word for His purpose. Look at the message Jesus gave to the early church in Laodicea.
“‘I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.’”—Revelation 3:15-16
Though this may seem like a strong warning, in reality it is Jesus’ invitation to everyone to be a part of God’s ultimate plan of restoration for His Kingdom—physical and spiritual—and for Israel and the nations.
He reminds His children about the significance of remembering His promises so that we won’t forget His plan.
“‘Now consider this, you who forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.’”—Psalm 50:22
Sowing into Israel's Kingdom restoration deepens your relationship with God because it is a demonstration that you have read His Word, believed in His restorative power, and started to take physical steps to be a part of His Kingdom work!
Don’t Let Time Pass You by…
Don’t let another loved one or event that made a lasting impact on your life be forgotten. Plant now so that spiritual and physical harvests will be reaped for those who come after you.
God is faithful and you can sow into His Promised Land with confidence in His covenant promises. He is restoring Israel for the return of His Son. The significance of remembering His promises is written on the hearts of all Believers.
“‘This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days,’ says the Lord: ‘I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them.’”—Hebrews 10:16
