You are probably quite familiar with My Olive Tree’s mission to reclaim the desert by planting groves of olive trees at locations in the Negev. These olive trees are not only a way to help stimulate the region’s economy in a small way and to create jobs, but they are also a symbol of peace and of God’s love for his chosen people.
In addition to our olive tree initiative, we also have grapevines that we have set up throughout the region for similar purposes. This project is a growing part of our mission at My Olive Tree, and we are pleased to offer our supporters the chance to sponsor a grapevine.
So why should you consider sponsoring one of our grapevines in the Israeli desert? Here are a few reasons:
• It fulfills scripture. Amos 9 speaks about those who are the treaders of grapes and about the hills of Israel overflowing with new, sweet wine. At My Olive Tree, we are honored to be a part of Israel’s prophetic destiny, not only with olive trees, but with grape vines a swell.
• Grapes are an important part of faith. You might not be aware of this, but there are more than 80 different passages of scripture in the bible that refer to grapes. The symbolism of the fruit is important in many different stories of the bible.
• Grapes are an important part of Israel’s culture. They have a great deal of cultural importance not only because of their significance in scripture, but because of the economic importance they have had for the region throughout its history. Like olives, grapes have long been an important crop and a major part of regional trade.
By sponsoring one of our grapevines in the Negev, you can help us to continue our mission of reclaiming the desert and transforming Israel. The financial commitment is lower than that of sponsoring an olive tree, which makes it a more affordable and attainable sponsorship option for many of our supporters.

Our Mission
Our mission is to create a partnership between the Evangelical community and the nation of Israel; this partnership will produce employment, income, and revenue for humanitarian aid projects in Israel. We envision the planting of one-million olive trees over the next seven years. This relationship was prophesied in the Bible centuries ago, that the foreigners and strangers (those not of Jewish descent) would help rebuild the walls of Israel and cause the desert to bloom (Isa 35:1). Among other things, this reforestation is an environmental blessing for the entire region. May all who participate in this project be blessed body, soul and spirit; it is time for you to take root in Israel!
