“Keep his decrees and commands, which I am giving you today, so that it may go well with you and your children after you and that you may live long in the land the Lord your God gives you for all time.”—Deuteronomy 4:40
This verse contains the powerful phrase, “for all time.” This is referencing back to God’s original promise to Abraham in Genesis 12. Take a moment and wrap your mind around what “for all time” truly means. God is not bound by time as we are. When we allow words like eternity and for all time to infiltrate our hearts and minds, we can be blown away by the thought of God’s sovereign power and authority.
Today we think of nothing that can stand the test of time. On the contrary, however, when we put our hope in Christ and believe in His work, God graciously shows us how He is faithful and stands by all of His promises of restoration. When we jump forward to the book for Revelations we see Israel as the central focus. The Messiah reigns from His Throne in Israel’s capital, Jerusalem. There is a new heaven, new earth and New Jerusalem.
The Bible says Jesus is the King of kings and that He will reign in Jerusalem, and the city will be a joy for the whole earth. “Great is the LORD, and most worthy of praise, in the city of our God, his holy mountain. It is beautiful in its loftiness; the joy of the whole earth… is mount Zion, the city of the great King” (Psalm 48:1-2).
Join My Olive Tree now in rebuilding this beautiful city of the Great King in the Kidron Valley! The Kidron Valley, also called the “Valley of the Kings” and the “Garden of the Kings,” is an ancient area located on the eastern side of Jerusalem. This area is a symbol of hope and future for both Israelis and Believers.
Today this land lays barren and dry. It was once a garden of lush olive groves, but now is faded and blown away. At My Olive Tree we are excited to lead a project called “The King’s Valley Project” in partnership with the Israel Nature and Parks Authority, to plant mature olive trees throughout this King’s Valley in Jerusalem. We are planting olive trees because we believe, in accordance with God’s Word, Jerusalem will be restored and become a place of peace and prosperity.
As Believers we have many reasons to support the people of Israel. This exciting and beautiful project is an opportunity to unite Jews and Gentiles in the City of our God. We invite you to join us in this amazing opportunity to fulfill prophecy and to prepare the way for Jesus' return! [CLICK HERE] to sponsor a tree of hope in this God-inspired mission. Our focus is on God’s spiritual restoration of Israel and the enduring promise of His chosen people.
