Legacy, by definition is “something transmitted by or received from an ancestor or predecessor, or from the past” according to Merriam-Webster.
According to the Bible however, there is a deeper meaning to Legacy. Biblical legacy is more than merely material goods; it’s lasting inheritance.
At My Olive Tree, we believe Legacy is something that does not fade away, but remains and is a lasting blessing. It’s something passed down to future generations that make greater impacts as time passes.
God warns us in His Word…
“For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.”—1 John 2:16-17
We must be alert and aware of what we are passing on to our future generations. In contrast to material things that pass away, it is wise to set our minds and hearts on doing the will of God, something that lasts forever!

The Legacy of an Olive Tree
