“For the LORD your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, that flow out of valleys and hills; a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey; a land in which you will eat bread without scarcity, in which you will lack nothing; a land whose stones are iron and out of whose hills you can dig copper. When you have eaten and are full, then you shall bless the LORD your God for the good land which He has given you. Beware that you do not forget the LORD your God…”—Deuteronomy 8:7-11
In Deuteronomy 8, we read of God’s promise for the Holy Land. At the very beginning of the chapter, God encourages us to be obedient to the Word of God in order to possess the land that was sworn to the Israelites.
This scripture holds a special place for us here at My Olive Tree! It speaks of the Promised Land as a land of abundance—and part of that abundance is olive oil!
Olive trees and olive oil have long been an important part of Israel’s history and religious practices, and we know that it will continue to be an important part of her future. We love being a part of something where the past and the future collide!

help bring the desert back to life with trees and vines; oil and wine; provision and promise; sustenance and joy! We love being a part of prophetic acts fulfilled!
We also read in Deuteronomy of a Promised Land—a land of abundance and provision where there is no lack for His people. This is our heart for Israel. We long to see her living in peace, prosperity, and restoration. But Deuteronomy 8 challenges us to remember a few things about the Promised Land:
• It has to be possessed.
• It takes work to maintain the promise.
• It is important to remember the Lord our God in the midst of seasons of abundance.
Through My Olive Tree’s efforts, we are helping possess the land and expand the green belt south into the Negev desert. The land is beginning to show signs of life and
prosperity—but it is hard work to plant, reap, and maintain, and it requires the generous contributions of people around the world to make this happen. The promise requires our effort and our sacrifice!
While we rejoice in our accomplishments so far, we remind ourselves daily that our provision is in the Lord alone. We must not forget Him in seasons of plenty or seasons of want.
Our heart’s cry is to plant thousands of additional olive trees and 500 vines this year. We believe that 2015 is going to be a great year for My Olive Tree and we hope you will continue to support us with your prayers and sponsorships.
Every tree and every vine makes a difference as we march on to possess the land and thank God for His provision for His people.
Our Mission
Our mission is to create a partnership between the Evangelical community and the nation of Israel; this partnership will produce employment, income, and revenue for humanitarian aid projects in Israel. We envision the planting of one-million olive trees over the next seven years. This relationship was prophesied in the Bible centuries ago, that the foreigners and strangers (those not of Jewish descent) would help rebuild the walls of Israel and cause the desert to bloom (Isa 35:1). Among other things, this reforestation is an environmental blessing for the entire region. May all who participate in this project be blessed body, soul and spirit; it is time for you to take root in Israel!
