It is a common wish for most people to desire peace. They desire peace between others, as well as to experience it for themselves. Peace mirrors the image of tranquility and freedom from disturbance. While we understand that we won’t experience true peace until Christ’s return, He has foreshadowed in many ways what is to come.
How is peace being exhibited in God’s land—Israel—and how can you partake in it today?
At My Olive Tree we are excited to be a part of a peace project right in the heart of God’s Promised Land—the Kings Valley in Jerusalem. The rich and fertile land of promise that the Israelites were about to enter and take possession of in Deuteronomy 8 was described as…
- “…a land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey; a land where bread will not be scarce and you will lack nothing…”—Deuteronomy 8:8-9
No Ordinary “Peace” of Land
This land was something that the Israelites had not seen before. They had wandered in the desert for forty years, where God had allowed their hearts to be prepared for what was to become theirs. This was no ordinary land. The produce that it provided was going to be more than enough.
This was, and still is, a land of plenty. This precious area of earth is producing great harvests, even today. My Olive Tree is currently planting two grains and five fruit tree species in the King’s Valley—in the heart of Jerusalem—where it will be restored and flourishing before the Messiah’s return.
The most stunning part of this restoration project is that all of the people, regardless of background—Jew and Gentile alike—have embraced and supported this project. The people and the neighbors of this land are excited that we have taken a personal interest in their land, economy and their people. They see the love, care and hope of God poured out through your support, interest, and partnership of this project.
Words of Wisdom
Believers look to God’s Word for wisdom and direction. In scripture, God reveals His wisdom of how to usher others into His Kingdom, by revealing His love for them.

When we can show others that we are sincerely interested in them, they will be open to hear what we have to say… the truth about God’s amazing grace. This project is about bringing God’s peace and restoration to His land.
