A lot of the mission of My Olive Tree stems from important passages in scripture about the rebirth of Israel. For example, take this passage from Nehemiah:
Restore now to them, even this day, their lands, their vineyards, their olive groves and their houses, also a hundredth of the money and the grain, the new wine and the oil..
My Olive Tree’s parent organization, Curt Landry Ministries International Inc., cares deeply about the people of Israel and helping them to find peace and happiness in the midst of the troubles infecting the region. This means that as part of helping people, we need to care about the agriculture and economy of the region as well. That is where our olive trees come in to play.
These trees that our supporters sponsor are available for harvest year after year, which means that the sponsorship of just one tree creates an ongoing blessing to the nation of Israel. It is truly the gift that keeps on giving. While one tree may not seem like much, an entire large grove provides jobs for people in Israel for the maintenance of the trees and the harvest of their fruits, and then the production of My Olive Tree’s olive oil.
My Olive Tree’s work is also part of a fulfillment of environmental prophecy. Just as there was prophecy about the Jewish people returning to their home land, there is also prophecy about that land itself returning to the plans of God and blooming once again, even after the desert had long since claimed it for its own.
Amos 9:11 says, “On that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, and repair its damages. I will raise up its ruins and rebuilt it as in the days of old. That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and all the Gentiles who are called by my name.”
Even those of non-Jewish blood, the “Gentiles who are called by my name,” are called to be a part of the environmental revival of Israel.
Will you take part in this revival? Contact us today at My Olive Tree for more information about how you can to reclaim the desert for the people of Israel.
Why my Olive Tree?
Our Mission
Our mission is to create a partnership between the Evangelical community and the nation of Israel; this partnership will produce employment, income, and revenue for humanitarian aid projects in Israel. We envision the planting of one-million olive trees over the next seven years. This relationship was prophesied in the Bible centuries ago, that the foreigners and strangers (those not of Jewish descent) would help rebuild the walls of Israel and cause the desert to bloom (Isa 35:1). Among other things, this reforestation is an environmental blessing for the entire region. May all who participate in this project be blessed body, soul and spirit; it is time for you to take root in Israel!
